Our PTSA volunteers surprised students by appearing in costume with stacks of Valentine notes and candies. Parents, friends, teachers, and staff contributed to the PTSA Valentine Delivery Fundraiser by purchasing Valentines for students. It was a big surprise and the identity of Valentine Bear was never revealed!!!

ONLINE FUNDRAISER
YESCA is sponsoring a “green” fundraising drive in an effort to raise funds while making the world a better place to live. The school will make 25% of all sales of eco-friendly and fair trade products when anyone purchases from GREENRAISING.COM throughout the year, and

Anyone can contribute to our fundraiser by visiting GREENRAISING.COM and choosing YESCA K-8 PTSA from the affiliate drop down menu.

Greenraising carries a full line of eco-friendly and fair trade products, from reusable grocery bags to multi-use water bottles to all-natural cleaning supplies and lotions. There is fair trade chocolate that also raises funds for art education, jewelry from women’s cooperatives in Guatemala, and lunch boxes made from recycled drink containers, among many other items.

“The Primary purpose of this fundraiser is to raise enough money to begin construction of our Garden Project and Animal Care Facilities which serve as an outdoor classroom for YESCA. Upon completion, the Garden Project and Animal Care Facility will be the teaching center of our school, YESCA’s vision revolves around this idea. The success of our projects greatly depend on the success of our fund-raising efforts,” said Stephanie Chin President of YESCA K-8 PTSA.

“With Greenraising, we feel good about the products we sell and about the lessons the children are learning. They need to know that their actions can make a difference in the world, as well as support our school.”
